The Bible is not merely a collection of disconnected stories, doctrines, and moral lessons. Across its many books, genres, covenants, and historical moments, Scripture tells one unfolding story of God creating, judging, promising, redeeming, dwelling with, and restoring His people. That story reaches its decisive center in Jesus Christ and moves toward the renewal of all things.

Module 1

Seeing the Bible as One Story

The Bible is a library of many books, yet those books participate in one coherent redemptive story. The first task of biblical survey is learning to see the whole before getting lost in the parts.

  1. Lesson 1One Bible, One Story
  2. Lesson 2The Storyline of Scripture
  3. Lesson 3Learning to Trace the Story

Module 2

Creation, Fall, and the First Promise

Genesis 1–3 establishes the world of the Bible: God creates, humanity bears His image, sin corrupts the good creation, death and exile enter the story, and God announces that evil will not have the final word.

  1. Lesson 1Creation: God, Humanity, and the Good World
  2. Lesson 2The Fall: Sin, Death, and Exile
  3. Lesson 3The First Promise: The Seed and the Hope of Redemption

Module 3

Abraham, Covenant, and the Birth of a People

God responds to a scattered and rebellious humanity by calling Abraham, making covenant promises, and forming a family through whom blessing will reach the nations.

  1. Lesson 1Abraham: Blessed to Be a Blessing
  2. Lesson 2Promise, Covenant, and the Seed
  3. Lesson 3From Family to Nation: Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph

Module 4

Exodus, Law, and the Presence of God

God redeems Israel from slavery, forms them as His covenant people, gives His law, and chooses to dwell among them through tabernacle, priesthood, and sacrifice.

  1. Lesson 1Exodus: God Redeems a People
  2. Lesson 2Sinai: Covenant, Law, and Holy Living
  3. Lesson 3Tabernacle: God Dwelling Among His People

Module 5

Land, Kings, and Kingdom

Israel enters the land, repeatedly fails under the judges, and eventually receives a monarchy. The Davidic covenant then creates enduring expectation for a righteous King.

  1. Lesson 1Joshua and the Land of Promise
  2. Lesson 2Judges: When Everyone Does What Is Right in Their Own Eyes
  3. Lesson 3David, the Kingdom, and the Promise of a King

Module 6

Division, Prophets, and Exile

The kingdom fractures, kings repeatedly fail, prophets call the people back to covenant faithfulness, and exile becomes both judgment and the setting for deeper promises of restoration.

  1. Lesson 1The Kingdom Divided
  2. Lesson 2The Prophets: Covenant Warning and Future Hope
  3. Lesson 3Exile: Judgment, Loss, and the Promise of Restoration

Module 7

Return, Waiting, and Messianic Hope

The exiles return and rebuild, yet the full prophetic promises remain unresolved. The Old Testament story closes in a posture of waiting for the King, the Spirit, the covenant renewal, and the greater presence of God.

  1. Lesson 1Coming Home: Return from Exile
  2. Lesson 2Rebuilding Temple, City, and Community
  3. Lesson 3Waiting for the King

Module 8

Jesus: The Story Finds Its Center

In Jesus, the kingdom arrives, the cross fulfills Passover and covenant sacrifice, and the resurrection launches new creation. The story does not merely continue; it reaches its decisive center.

  1. Lesson 1The Kingdom Arrives
  2. Lesson 2The Cross: Passover, Sacrifice, and the New Covenant
  3. Lesson 3The Resurrection: New Creation Begins

Module 9

Spirit, Church, and Mission

The risen Christ pours out the Spirit, forms a new covenant people, and sends the church from Jerusalem to the nations as a witness between resurrection and return.

  1. Lesson 1Pentecost: The Spirit and the New Covenant People
  2. Lesson 2From Jerusalem to the Nations
  3. Lesson 3The Church Between Resurrection and Return

Module 10

New Creation: The End Is Better Than the Beginning

The biblical story ends not with escape from creation but with the return of the King, final judgment, bodily resurrection, the defeat of death, and God dwelling with humanity in renewed creation.

  1. Lesson 1The Return of the King
  2. Lesson 2Judgment, Resurrection, and Final Victory
  3. Lesson 3New Heaven, New Earth, and God With Us
